Pastor John Berg, Trinity Lutheran Church, Sheboygan, WI, will be leading a workshop entitled Improving Your Chanting. Below is a description of the workshop.
“Chanting it’s so Roman Catholic!” Have you ever heard that phrase before? It’s not true! There is nothing more Lutheran than chanting! Now that I have your attention would you like to improve your chanting or learn how to chant the Lord’s Prayer, the Proper Preface and Word’s of Institution? Would you like to introduce chanting in your parish and make sure that it is received well by the people. Then this session is for you. In this session we will will discuss and practice the art of chanting and talk about ways to successfully introduce it in your congregation.
