Pastor Dan Bishop, St. John Lutheran Church, Pekin, IL, will be leading a workshop entitled Keeping Up with Your Studies in the Parish. Below is a description of the workshop.
A pastor must be able to handle the word of truth rightly, and able to teach it. To do this well he must continue to study the Scriptures diligently, so as to keep growing in the knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ. But keeping up with studies can be challenge for busy pastors. What things should a pastor be studying? What are ways he can make ample study a regular part of his pastoral life? We'll address these matters in our discussion.
