Workshop: Visiting the Hospitalized

Pastor Ralph Tausz, the Evangelical Lutheran Church of the Apostles, Melrose Park, IL, will be leading a workshop entitled Visiting the Hospitalized. Below is a description of the workshop.

In this workshop, we will address questions related to visiting members in the hospital. Here is a mere sampling: How do I find out if they’re in the hospital? What are good resources for texts, prayers and blessings? Where do I set up the Holy Supper in a hospital room? How do I offer private absolution and the apostolic custom of anointing with oil? How do I instruct the sick and their family regarding the staff chaplains who will visit? What do I leave with them?
